STUDY TIPS?

Bismillahirahmanirrahim.

     Assalamualaikum, guys. It is totally has been a long way I’ve not updating anything here. Oh, happy new year by the way. I prayed may we become better person in 2020, In Shaa Allah. So, I’ve just ended my final exam for my diploma year, Alhamdulillah. I still remember I cried when I looked at this course which I need to spend 2 and half year and yeah, finally I made it. In this post, I would like to share my study tips that I’ve been practice them but I’m still searching for the good ones for me. Before we continue to our main topic, here some disclaimer; not all my tips will be suitable for you, it depends on yourself. If there is part that you can adopt or apply and suitable for you, then just take that part okay.

•      Read your notes before the class

I’ve do this once in the first year of my diploma and its seems good actually but I didn’t practice it until the end of semester. This tip is from my lecturer. She said when you’ve reading the topic before your lecturer, it helps your brain to imagine and get the idea on the topic even you will not completely understand what it is about. But after you got the lecturer, then it will increase your understanding regarding the topic. But I usually read the notes that I’ve learnt in order to keep on track what I’ve been learnt. It really helps to gain my understanding.

• Understand the topic you’ve learn on that day. Don’t procrastinate.

I love this tip but I didn’t do it. Silly isn’t? This tip is from my physic teacher; Pn Hayati. After we ended a topic, she will always remind us to understand the topic within that day because when we learn another new topic, the old topic will become hanging if we don’t understand it. If you don’t have courage to ask your teacher or lecturers, you may ask your friends. I usually asked my friends as that is the way more comfortable for me. But, asking your lecturer is totally much better okay.

•        Do additional notes.

I usually do additional notes for Fundamental of Accounting and Taxation as I’m an imaginative person. I’m started to do mind map as that will help me to view the overall information about that chapter. As you know, Fundamental of Accounting do have like definition, recognition criteria and etc. You can do it colourful but it doesn’t necessary to be colourful. I usually used 4 colours like black, blue, purple and yellow for the highlight.

•  Set time

This tip is from my friend. I saw she kept updating her WhatsApp story on her study schedule. Starting that, I’m trying to apply it and Alhamdulillah it works except for the break time. Example for set time; 8 am to 10 am study for topic Intangible Asset. Please note this, when you’re doing your study or revision, please keep away your phone. THAT IS YOUR ENEMY! That is why my break time become such a longer time. Sob sob. If you want to play your phone, please just do it in 5 minutes. More than that, you’re failed. That based on my experienced. Usually I will only take break for Dhuha prayer, lunch, and other 5 prayers. That’s enough for me.

• Early revision.

It happened this semester I got two papers straight. No gap. So because of that I’m doing early revision. It does helps as i was not too rushing to cover all the topic over again as I’ve do it before the study week started. Please note guys, when you not understand on what you’ve learnt in the class, that will bring a huge problem when you wanted to do deep revision on the topic. But when you’ve done early revision, you have save time just to recall on what the topic about. That is why understanding is so important, not only for your final examination but for your future too.

• Sky juice

When doing your revision, don’t forget to prepared a bottle of sky juice too. As our brains work for the understanding and to think, water is does important to keep us energize and generate the idea. Take the healthy meals for your body and brain too.

• Surrounding

Before you started to learn or doing revision, choose the surrounding that can help you maintain and focus such as library. As for me, library is the best place and I need to look people study as that will enhance my study mood. I don’t like to do revision in my room. I will walk away from my room and sit at the college corridor. Its depend on yourself whichever that you’re comfortable with.

That some study tips that I think it good to be share with. Gentle reminder, it doesn’t need a million tips to study if you don’t work for yourself. Try to apply whichever that you think it will help you okay. It always be impossible until it is done. That’s all for this post.
